PAC Group have relocated from a small workshop and office in Carrickfergus to a 15,000 square foot facility in Dargan Crescent, Belfast.
As a start-up in February 2018, the company had five Directors and eight employees, who operated from a small premises in Carrickfergus. Over the course of the past two years, the business has successfully grown and developed, now employing 34 staff with plans to take on three Apprentices for the 2020 intake.
Having out-grown their old premises, and with ambitious growth plans over the next three to five years, it was crucial that the company found a new site to call home.
Operations Director, Iain Parkhill, said:
"We started 2020 in a strong position, with significant growth plans for the business over the next three years. To support our growth, it was crucial that we moved to new premises that would allow us to continue to invest in developing our team, upgrading our machinery and equipment, and increasing our fleet of support vehicles. Following extensive searches, we found what we were looking for in Belfast."
"As with most businesses in the province, we have faced unprecedented challenges this year. We responded quickly to changing circumstances, adopted an agile approach, and acted according to the information that was available to us. Investing in a new premises was a priority for us due to the size of the panels and other machines we design and build, such as our preformers. We also needed a space that would be a comfortable working environment for a growing company of over 30 employees. This investment is not just for our business as it is today, but for the future of PAC Group also."
The company had fully moved into the new premises by the end of July, and have been carrying out extensive renovations and decorating of their new space. While the developments are not quite finished, they announced their move to the public via their social media channels along with a video showcasing their progress so far.
Iain concluded:
"For now, the move means our employees have dedicated break-out space, more comfortable office space, larger workshops, and a public-facing reception we can all be proud of. But we're really looking forward to welcoming our customers, suppliers, and partners to our new home for its official opening when circumstances allow."
