How does a hot drape former work?
Composite materials, such as carbon fibre, are commonly used in the aerospace, marine, and automotive industries because they have a high stiffness and strength-to-weight ratio.
Our Hot Drape Formers feature a quartz infrared radiation heating system that softens the carbon fibre quickly and evenly; this process allows the layers to slip against each other, producing accurate parts that are free from any stress wrinkling.
