PAC Group has been awarded the SafeContractor accreditation for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
Belfast-based electrical and mechanical engineering company, PAC Group, has been awarded the accreditation by Alcumus SafeContractor, a leading third-party accreditation scheme that recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management. The scheme is used by thousands of organisations in the UK, including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies.
With eight key divisions offering one superior service, PAC Group have customers across a wide range of sectors including commercial, utilities, manufacturing, construction, engineering, food and drink, pharmaceutical, and more.
The company's application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform safety standard across the business, which complements its ISO 45001 accreditation.
PAC Group Service Director, Gordon Burns, said:
"We are delighted to once again receive accreditation to the SafeContractor standard. The safety and health of our team is a priority for our business. We are committed to ensuring excellent standards across all of our operations, which we know is also important for our customers, who want to work with professional, high quality, and safe contractors. This independent accreditation helps to assure our customers that we are exactly that."
Gemma Archibald, Director of Alcumus SafeContractor, said:
"Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety practices in place. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that PAC Group has done. Their high standard has set an example, which hopefully will be followed by others within the sector."
