Tank Farm Relocation Northern Ireland
Objective
Our PAC Enviro team was given the task to relocate an existing fuel tank farm to a new location on their site.
This was a major undertaking and under the direction of our PAC Enviro Project Manager Emma Wilson this project was completed on time and on budget.
Process
Selected bulk tanks were relocated from the old tank farm and repositioned within the new tank farm.
These tanks are required to supply fuel and chemicals to other areas within the existing factory.
This project involved installing new pipework to connect the outlet of the bulk tanks to the inlet of the smaller distribution tanks as required.
New ultrasonic controllers and level probes were sourced and installed in the bulk tanks. As the area within the bunded area of the tank farm is ATEX zoned, all instrumentation installed within this area needed to be ATEX rated.
Outcome
Our team of skilled, experienced engineers designed, built and installed a new control panel to control and operate the new tank farm including the PLC control system and the SCADA system.
