The Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub is pleased to welcome PAC Group as its new Industrial Partner.
PAC Group is a leading and innovative provider of high quality and specialist electrical and mechanical engineering solutions and applications. Based in Northern Ireland and working across a diverse range of industries and sectors, the company’s Composites division is renowned for its ability to deliver expert advice and highly specialist solutions for the aerospace, automotive, and composites sectors.
Previously, this has included the design, manufacture, and installation of automated machinery, manufacturing systems, and high-spec equipment such as carbon composite hot drape preformers.
CIMComp, the EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub is a £10.3m investment by the EPSRC to engage academics from across the UK to deliver a step-change in the production of polymer matrix composites. The Hub is led by the University of Nottingham and the University of Bristol and includes 13 other UK-based Universities.
An additional £12.7m of support is offered by four High Value Manufacturing Catapult Centres, backed by 18 leading companies from the composites sector, which now includes PAC Group.
Specialising in innovate design and the delivery of bespoke solutions, membership of the Hub will enable PAC Group to develop new processes and systems to support fundamental research activities, whilst adopting new technologies to benefit their customer base.
